Are you ready to deeply rest to reset?

Would you like to immerse yourself in feminine form yoga practice for  three days in a serene setting?

During Cycles of Wisdom you’ll drop into a slower pace of life and cultivate a deeper relationship with your embodied feminine transformation. Connecting to the energy of the new moon, the retreat will focus on seeding intentions, personal ritual and self-awareness while offering guidance and support from the traditions of yoga, Ayurveda and feminine wisdom.

As women living modern lifestyles, we must take time from our daily lives to fill ourselves up, so that we may return to our daily schedule renewed, refreshed — and more available for our passions, relationships and our work in the world.

This wisdom weekend retreat will be an opportunity for you to explore and practice what it means a woman who walks the path of yoga with heart, compassion, and authenticity. As a warrior of love, who journeys into the depths of what matters most in her life (regardless of religion, spirituality or creed); listening to the guidance of the heart: the sacred vessel for creativity, expression, and truth.

Cycles of Wisdom is a 3-day, 2-night retreat located at the beautiful Mount Madonna Center, a forested mountaintop where you’ll drop into a state of remembrance and resonance with your natural state of being, that which is connected to the cycles of nature and the cycles of your own being. We will work with ancient practices for accessing your deepest wisdom as you release that which no longer serves your highest capacities for growth and living in this world. Through nourishing and therapeutic yoga practices, feminine wisdom, Ayurveda and Bhakti (singing mantras – kirtan), you’ll awaken to deep self-love to calm your body-mind and rest into stillness with cyclical wisdom you can integrate into your life.

What women say about Kendra’s retreats:

“It reinforced the importance for women to trust ourselves and other women to reveal our inner truths, vulnerabilities and experiences. To also revel in the knowledge that we are all complete human beings with the essence of the divine within us.”

-Leslie

“It was a wonderful experience to spend time with beautiful, open women. And to see that most people had the same reservations that I had. So often, we tend to think “I’m the only one who feels what I am feeling.” It is always comforting to know we are not alone. Thanks for the wonderful retreat!!”

-M.K.

“Kendra is warm, sweet, and kind. She reflects back a different, more uplifting, version of myself than the rest of the world. She exposed me to new perspective changing ideas and resources that have supported me during deep transformation and growth while stepping more fully into my womanhood and dharma.”

—Nicole

F.A.Q

u

Do I need yoga experience to attend?

No previous yoga experience is necessary to participate in this retreat. If you are concerned about your experience level, you are more than welcome to reach out for more information using the contact form

u

I noticed there will be kirtan. What if I can't sing?

Bhakti in the form of kirtan is not about singing, but more about the heart that you bring to the practice of chanting. The focus of this practice rests in bringing your voice together with others with the common intention of connecting to source through the vibrational sound of mantra. All kirtan will also be accompanied by harmonium.

u

What is women's therapeutic yoga (i.e., feminine form yoga)?

Based in the teachings of Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and her more than 20 years of practice in this area along with the wisdom of somatics and tantra, feminine form yoga honors the cyclical nature of a woman’s body and life cycle. The conscious-building practices of this form of yoga center on awareness of the heart-womb connection, the deep wisdom of the body, and understanding that all of life’s experiences are in support of the greater awakening of your being. Practices honor where you are in your cycle and your life cycle; accommodations are offered and made throughout the weekend, so that you can work with the needs of your body and honor how you are in any given moment. There is also a profound focus on nourishment and deep rest.
