Description
Ayurveda is a system of natural healing. It is the study of life; a science that applies to the holistic understanding of what it means to be human and how to work with the natural world and elements of life. Ayurveda is a medical science. Ayur = life and Veda = knowledge. Ayurveda is literally life knowledge. It includes all layers of the being, aims to support the maintenance of health, facilitate healing, and maintain quality and longevity of life.
Yoga therapy is a holistic and complementary healthcare modality that utilizes the 8 limbs of classical yoga as a foundation for the practices. Incorporating practices from Western and Eastern approaches to trauma, mind-body practices, working with the chakras, bioenergetics, and somatic healing, yoga therapy is intended to support clients in developing greater self-knowledge as they heal mind-body-soul.
As an Ayurvedic Coach and Yoga Therapist in practicum, I am committed to supporting you in your healing process and will educate you in both systems according to the agreed upon treatment plan. Ayurvedic Coaching and Yoga Therapy are not a substitute for medical and mental health care and will not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for disease or pathology.
